Sound Walls are a fantastic tool to support the process of orthographic mapping - the mapping of sounds, or ‘phonemes,’ onto print, or ‘graphemes.’ Included are _ vowel sounds and _ consonant sounds, including semi-vowels _ and _. Nearly all possible graphemes are included. (new paragraph) This Sound Wall is designed to be used with the Programme de phonétique Je sais LEF, but can also be used to support teachers using a different scope and sequence and/or program. Included is a Teacher’s Manual to help teachers get started using these materials to support evidence-based instruction.
